'Store in a Cool, Dry Place.'

Tenderly applied graphics are offset with striking splashes of neon in Sophie's newest collection of artworks. Loosely based on the themes of isolation and abandonment running throughout many of our best loved tales, Sophie has created a beautiful childlike world in which wolves and birds, rabbits and trees hint towards the darker side of fairytale. The re-imaginings of 'Hansel and Gretal', 'The Babes in the Wood' and 'Snow White' offer a balance between the delightful and the sombre, whilst maintaining a sharp finespun quality throughout. 'Store in a Cool, Dry Place' is Sophie's first solo exhibition and runs from monday 23rd May to saturday 28th May 2011 at Mayfair's Air Gallery on Dover Street.
